NPO法人.梅田ミツバチプロジェクト
Umeda Bee Project is recruiting beekeeping trainees to expand the field of beekeeping.
The training program will run from March to December, consisting of 10 sessions. This season, with the support of GUERLAIN, a member of the LVMH Group, we are specifically seeking 6 female trainees or individuals who identify as female.
The regular annual fee for this season is ¥120,000 (including teaching materials, protective clothing, hive tools, and training fees). However, GUERLAIN will subsidize ¥70,000, allowing participants to enroll at a special rate of ¥50,000. The proceeds from this training will be fully utilized for social activities such as food education, environmental education, and greening initiatives.
GUERLAIN has been committed to biodiversity conservation, bee protection, and the empowerment of female beekeepers for over 14 years. In collaboration with Umeda Bee Project, they are supporting the Female Beekeeper Development Program as their second training support initiative in Japan. Learn more about GUERLAIN’s social activities here: [Link to GUERLAIN’s commitment page].
If you are interested in learning about bees or beekeeping, we encourage you to take this opportunity to participate. In the event that the number of applications exceeds the capacity, a lottery will be conducted (last year, we received approximately 50 applications).
Please carefully read the following information before applying:

This recruitment is exclusively for women or individuals who identify as female. Men or individuals who identify as male are not eligible to apply. Applications from individuals below junior high school age will not be accepted (minors require parental consent). The training sessions will be held once a month at Hattori Ryokuchi, primarily on the third Saturday from 8 AM to 11 AM (timing may vary depending on the training content). Please note that there may be changes due to inclement weather. We kindly request that you assume responsibility for any bee stings or injuries that may occur during the training. Individuals with severe allergies, such as anaphylaxis, are advised to refrain from participating. It is important to note that there will be tasks involving heavy lifting, requiring a certain level of physical strength. You are responsible for your transportation expenses to the training location, as well as costs for beverages, lunch, and work attire. Failure to comply with safety guidelines or staff instructions that hinder the safety of other trainees may result in expulsion from the program. In such cases, refunds will not be provided. There may be instances where you will be requested to participate in interviews or surveys conducted by GUERLAIN. Please be aware that you will be required to sign a consent form for the use of your likeness. The training will primarily be conducted in pairs (pairings will be determined by lottery). The application period is from today, February 1st, until March 10th. In the event of a large number of applications, the deadline may be closed earlier. This program does not guarantee comprehensive beekeeping knowledge acquisition; it is primarily designed for beginners. To apply, please provide your address, full name, age, occupation, email address, and your motivation for participating in the training. You can submit your application through the inquiry form on our website. Please enter your occupation in the “Company Name” field and your motivation for participating in the training in the “Inquiry Details” field.
