近畿有害生物研究会より「蜂」をテーマに講演依頼を受け、
8月20日に開催された第2回研修会に参加してきました。
理事長の小丸が都市養蜂についてプロジェクトの成り立ちから取組までをお話させていただきました。
他に、各大学の先生方による講演もあり、
生態系の重要な役割を担う様々な蜂に関する研究の理解を深める時間となりました。
ミツバチを飼育・保護するプロジェクトと、
都市部での分蜂で時に害虫としてミツバチを駆除しないといけない場合がある害虫駆除の企業様方と。
とても貴重な交流です。

I attended the second training session held on August 20th, as I received a lecture invitation on the theme of “bees” from the Kinki Pest Research Society.
Our director, Komaru, spoke about the establishment and efforts of the urban beekeeping project.
There were also lectures by professors from various universities, which provided an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the research on various bees that play important roles in ecosystems.
It was a valuable exchange between our project, which focuses on beekeeping and conservation, and companies involved in pest control that sometimes need to eliminate bees as pests in urban areas.
