５月２６日（土）服部緑地公園にて、
公園主催のイベント『集まれ！わんぱくファーマー‼』が開催されました。
普段なかなか入ることができない公園の苗圃とそのすぐそばにある養蜂場に
元気な子どもさんと親御さん６０名程が大集合！
On May 26th (Saturday), at Hattori Ryokuchi Park, the park-hosted event “Gather! Energetic Young Farmers” was held. About 60 lively children and their parents gathered at the park’s nursery, which is not usually accessible to the public, and the nearby apiary.
１回目の今回は、野菜の苗植え体験とミツバチ観察会。
公園スタッフの方々による説明を聴きながらサツマイモやキュウリ、トマト等の野菜苗を畑に植えたり、受粉で活躍するミツバチの生態を紙芝居で学習してもらったりしました。
For this first session, there were experiences of planting vegetable seedlings and observing honeybees.
While listening to explanations from the park staff, the participants planted vegetable seedlings such as sweet potatoes, cucumbers, and tomatoes in the field. They also learned about the ecology of honeybees and their role in pollination through a picture-story show.

▼公園スタッフさんアイデア！蚊帳の特別見学ルームが設置されて、
安心して間近で女王蜂等を見学いただけました。
Park staff’s idea! A special viewing room with mosquito netting was set up, allowing visitors to observe queen bees and others up close with peace of mind.
「働きバチが女の子ばっかりって知らなかった！」
「なんで人はハチミツを食べるようになったの？」
「板にあるハチミツをどうやって採るんですか？」
「家を間違えないの？」
初めて観る・聴くミツバチたちの生態に、たくさんの質問が！
最後には、採れたてのハチミツや、ハチミツを使ったレモネードを味わっていただきました。
「めちゃ美味しい～」「ハチミツってとても貴重なんですね。大事にします。」「ミツバチ可愛かった！」「またお話聞きたい」と笑顔いっぱいでお声かけいただき、ミツバチプロジェクトスタッフ一同、とても嬉しかったです。

Many questions arose about the first-time observed and heard behaviors of the bees!
In the end, everyone had the opportunity to taste freshly harvested honey and honey lemonade. “It’s delicious!” “Honey is really precious. I’ll cherish it.” “The bees are so cute!” “We want to hear more stories!” Many participants approached us with smiles, and the Honeybee Project staff were delighted. Thank you very much for joining us and spending a wonderful time together!

As volunteer staff of the Umeda Honeybee Project, we are engaged in activities to share with everyone the blessings brought by bees and honey through beekeeping, as well as the importance of the connection with nature.
Since April, we have started our PR activities with a kitchen car under the name ‘Park Honey Project.’ Would you like to come and listen to stories about honeybees and honey? You can also experience the rich flavor of freshly harvested honey. We await your visit at the yellow kitchen car. ※The schedule of the kitchen car’s operation will be announced on our website and other platforms.
