９月も半ばですが、大量のオオスズメバチの襲撃を受けてビビりまくりのミツバチと
研修生。流石にこれだけの数のスズメバチに遭遇した経験はないでしょうから怖かったと思います。
そんな状況にもミツバチを守るためにしっかりと対策を行いました。
ミツバチは通れてスズメバチは通れない大きさのネットをかけて巣箱への侵入を防ぎます。
粘着シートに捕まえたスズメバチを１匹貼り付けると、どんどんと仲間が捕まっていきます。
スズメバチも益虫なのですが、ミツバチを守るために対策は欠かせません。

We’re already halfway through September, but the bees and trainees were extremely nervous due to a massive attack by Asian giant hornets. It must have been frightening to encounter such a large number of hornets, as they have never experienced it before.
However, we took firm measures to protect the bees in such a situation. We installed nets of a size that allows bees to pass through but prevents hornets from entering the beehives.
By placing a captured hornet on an adhesive sheet, more and more of its comrades are trapped.
While hornets are beneficial insects in their own right, protective measures are essential to safeguard the bees.
